New here? Welcome. Herbal Habits is a directory of independent herbal stores around South Africa, plus the promotions, giveaways and events they run. This is the quick tour: what's free, what Premium adds, and a few features people only find by accident.

First things first: it's for adults

You need to be 18 or older to use Herbal Habits.[2] That's why you see the age check the first time you visit.

What a free account gets you

A free account costs nothing and needs no card.[1] With it you can:[1]

  • browse the directory of verified stores

  • see each store's details, opening hours and location

  • save stores to your favourites

  • preview featured promotions

  • use the events calendar, with reminders

Find a store that's actually open

Find a Store has a list view and a map. The filters let you narrow things down, including Open Now and Near Me. Near Me asks for your device's location and uses it only to sort and filter stores by distance.[3]

Save the ones you like

Tap the heart on a store page and it lands in Saved Stores in your dashboard. You can save blog articles the same way, and they go under Saved Articles.

Never miss a market day

The calendar shows events from stores around the country, plus news from us. Mark an event and we'll send you a reminder.[2] It's a reminder, not a booking: any tickets or payments are between you and the store.[2]

What Premium adds

Premium is R99 a month, or R990 a year if you pay annually (that saves you R198).[1] On top of everything free, you get:[1]

  • every active promotion unlocked

  • exclusive discount codes

  • entry into store giveaways

  • Premium members-only events

How redeeming works

Find a promotion you like and tap to redeem. You get a discount code, with a QR code, to show at the counter.[1] The store scans or enters it, and that's the deal done.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time from your account settings, and Premium keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.[1] Vouchers you've already redeemed stay valid until their own expiry dates.[1]

Reviews you can trust

Anyone can read reviews. To keep them honest, our rules say a review has to reflect a genuine experience, and we don't allow reviews in exchange for payment or incentives.[2] Reviews linked to a promotion the store has actually confirmed at the counter get a Verified redemption badge.

Spotted something wrong?

Every review, listing and store post has a Report option, which goes straight to our moderation team.[2] On the blog, use Suggest a correction at the bottom of any article.

One thing we never do

Stores on Herbal Habits can't make health or medical claims about their products. That means no "treats", "cures" or "heals", even if the store believes it's true.[4] It's our most important rule, and it's why listings describe what a product is, not what it supposedly does for you.

We're a directory. We don't sell products ourselves, and anything you buy is between you and the store.[2]
